I have also tried switching from component to original RGB. I have tried setting it to PAL and NTSC also, both with the same result. I can select the Swap Magic disc and it'll go back to the load screen again - basically back to square one.

So I'll press load again to try again - this time it'll go to the browser and say no data is loaded, but then it'll show the swap magic disc again.
